day 1 30/6/2011 Bali trip

guess im gonna write about the trip to bali now.

Okay!

so we went to the airport on 30th June 2011 and waited for the rest of the group to show up.

fast forward to Singapore, waiting for transit to Denpasar. Me and Fahmi had a Subway there and shortly afterwards, went off to the airplane.

In the plane there was nothing really interesting. only that the girl beside me had a fucking iPad2 when it just recently came out. and she tried to read a book then i noticed shes been on the same page for 1 hours HAHAH.

fast forward to Denpasar airport, i think it was 8pm by that time...

We got in the bus and went off. Me and Fahmi helped the teacher pick up his stuff while he bought us all drinks. we went in the bus late and had to sit in the back with the young'uns.

the traffic was ridiculous, took us hours to reach our destination. then this street was closed for this function. the bus had to make a 3 point turn on a really tight street. scared the crap outta me. the houses had statues of figures idk about. there were bamboo poles erected next to the street with a bamboo ornament hanging on the end.

it was around 10-11 when we reached Green Camp. the guides were really friendly. it was freezing, our breaths were visible. it was awesome. but on the 5 mins walk to the actual camp, there were freaky noises of animals.

we were directed to the dining hut where we had our late dinner: spaghetti. the meat and sauce was separated for the vegetarians (I think it was only Melissa).

after a short welcoming talk, we were sent to our huts (or as they call it "Yurts") in a small collection of living huts called Yurt Village.

I was surprised to see that they had electricity there honestly (me being ignorant) and in the huts, they had an air conditioner. I was in Hut 1 with Fahmi and Rafi. Lim, Jonathan and Andy were in Hut 3. we decided to have 5 people in one hut just cause it was fun. Andy moved to his friends hut 2.

oyes, the huts were made of bamboo and the walls were lined with mosquito nets and we can put on the curtains for privacy if we wanted. we slept on mattresses.

before going to sleep we decided to go back to the dining hut to chill but we found some of the guides chilling there as well. so we just bummed around together i guess. One of the worker is Ratna, an indonesian girl. pretty nice. The second was Pinetree (srs) a cool guy as well, talked about the difference in cultures between Brunei and Bali. The third one was Nikki, a Canadian whos doing a volunteer job at the Green Camp, just arrived a week ago.

one by one they had to go to sleep and we went to our hut and slept as well. it was late.

sappy

life feels lonely. even with friends. spending time with you, amazing, no joke.

beautiful.

I dont know.

thoughts of hope flashes before i sleep. hoping the reason is me.

I dont know.

We used to talk like friends. We'd walk to my psychology class and say "see you," and she'd walk off to her economics class.

I tried my best not to let the butterflies in my stomach get to me. I'd still mess up, but it's fine, we're still talking.

now?

shit, if i knew.

wish I could talk to her like i talk to my female friends.

this feeling has been going on for way too long.

loneliness. I feel like walking in a rainy night with jazz playing from my sand-infested phone. sand from the beach where we learned how to surf.

the male instructors teaching you how to surf. flirting with you. I feel like kicking the sand.

I dont know.

we dont talk like we used to since you found out i liked you.
if only i could just not like like you in an instant, just to make things normal.

you looked absolutely beautiful. your gorgeous smile. your laugh that makes me look up. if only I was the one who made her smile. and laugh.

I remember yesterday I saw you in the beautiful beach of Kuta. you gave out a light giggle in the dark with only a tiny LED illuminating your perfect smile.

fuck this feeling.
I absolutely hate giving sappy stories, but its eating me up on the inside.

other than that, I joined a trip to Bali from 30 june to 6 july. it was amazing.
but I'll talk about it next time.

"see you,"

WAKA WAKA EH EH!

Alu Bala!

Tennis is awesome, but fucking hard.
Rugby is awesome, but fucking hard.
Volleyball is awesome, but fucking hard.

I want to try sports that is also a means of transportation. Roller skating, wind surfing, surfing, long boarding, skydiving, base jumping with wing suits, etc.

Wanted to try scuba diving but its $500... but you get a fucking PADI licence! My mum tidak mahu. too dangerous D: damn, but knowing that 3 out of 7 of my teachers go scuba diving, its damn tempting. apa boleh buat, I'll definitely go scuba diving, when I live independently. Rather pay for a life-long experience than buy luxury stuff.

in Feb, went to Termburong for the fieldwork on rivers for geography. Got to meet the padi farmers there. so fucking awesome. Some of my classmates got to help harvest the rice, so lucky ): I was THIS close to helping but we weren't wearing boots, so tidak boleh. sangat menyedihkan... but all in all, it was an awesome experience. I'd love to go visit them.
I also learned how badly the Temburong residents wanted a bridge connecting Temburong straight to Bandar without going though Limbang.
Got to taste some Laila rice, and the wet rice grown by them. I've a bag of Beras Adan still sitting around, waiting to be eaten.
We went hiking near Selepon River to see the evidence of nomadic settlements.
We had to measure sediment size and river depth along the cross-sectional area of the river bed, too us a fucking long time, but it was fun. Water was cold as shit. fucking awesome.
we had a boat ride (more like a convoy, really) to 6 points along the upper course of the river cause we didnt have any other way to go up the river and take measurements. The water up there was clear. like seriously clear.
The first night the guys and I would talk about who we like, the second night we'd talk about music, the third night just walking around the corridors talking about stuff with Saif and Adib.
And one of my teachers saw me and Saif do this dry humping dance. FUCCCCCCCK. but it was funny as hell HAHA

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, fuck, I miss it all.

I want to learn to dance. like a ballroom dance, tux, shiny shoes and coordinating footwork. seems lovely.
I want to learn to drum, play piano, play guitar (again. cause I really suck), bass, and a sax for jazz. so much to learn and by doing the maths with the average life expectancy in Brunei... I've about 58 years before I kick the bucket.

and now I have to think about unis. Might have to talk to dad about applying to Australia... he wants me to go uk, but since i have ielts...
courses Im considering:
-Agriculture (requirements at Nottingham is BBC WOHHHHHH)
-Marine biology (diving classes in Hull Uni yooooo, subsidised by the uni need 240-300)

so much to think.

and my ancient laptop died on me during the trip -.- shagsnwadis
even Mr.Piper laughed when he saw my laptop HAHAH

I dare say, Im a fucking pussy. 3 weeks man. 3 FUCKING WEEKS. shit, now I have to wait till next next monday. yagshabca, iucyawbdasl.

and the exam starts the day after that. fuckkkkk. I to the very very paling banyak belajar.
but first, gonna stuff my face in prospectuses.

See you ;D

HOLY CRAP

This week's been JAM-PACKED with homeworks, essays, reports, summaries, tests and more reports! FUUUU
and I've had this runny nose since dec! like whatt. during the bio test even my hingus was literally haging from my nose, shit. had to wipe it off quickly before anyone sees it. I think David might have seen it hanging for dear life.... hopefully inda lah. bu yeah, test with a runny nose really sucks, I have to do the test AND keep that shit in check.

SO, PE. 1 st term, we did hockey and volleyball. now, in 2nd term we can either choose softball or rugby. RUGBYYY WOOOO tapi payah lah, some girls joined rugby... how to body slam like this T____T and I NEED A PAIR OF CLEATS. running with the ball and having to watch my footsteps really is hard. I'll slip if I dont JOG. tapi siuk lah.

qweeeryuyioioo

So in KL I got:
a craftsman telecaster (american alder is friggin heavy!)
a vox wah V847
some patch cables
a mono strap (which I adore, fucking comfy)
a mahalo Ukelele
a pair of Vans
a pair of swimming trunks (gambar ikan yooooo)
some spare parts for the guitar

and what I did during the winter holidays
go kl
went body boarding
painted my 2 year old guitar from red to blue (I need to solder now /: )

happy new year! adsfdhfjg

Covered Fake Plastic Trees with Foo and Fahmi, really was awesome. just that my drumming sucks -.- got the 4 min video, but its 300Mb+. seriously, 300 megabytes. babi, laju habis the space in the hard drive like this @.@ crazy hd cam.

Started playing tennis, its fucking hard. I should improve my stamina... and get some muscles on my arms and shoulders. Planning to play tennis at school probably with Rafi, Mike and Fahmi, since they have two always empty courts... and badminton with school mates... and Liyana had a good idea of playing frisbee on the school field. GREAT! cannot fucking wait till I can drive to school. then I dont have to be dependent on my sister and go for a lot of activities after school.
speaking of driving, wtf, when am i getting my results?!
AND WE'RE GOING TO TEMBURONG IN A MONTH! YAYYY! really looking forward to the trip. we get to study about the river and hopefully swim swim swim in a waterfall or something. but my geography is really going downhill now. I should really STUDY not just do homework from now on.
gah, wish I could drive and wish my parents would let me do some stuff.
I've been watching tons of sports videos and I am so inspired. nantilah when I'm in my 20s. and I heard ada surfing spots in Brunei... HOHOHOH again, in my 20s. and hey, in september it was like I was the only 18 year old in school @.@ now I know a few people who are as old as me. BLESS! and most of my kb friends are going 18 in a few months. so far the going 18 + are 18 are: Rafi, Michael, Hannah, Sin Nii, Melissa, Lim, Naqibah, Nathan, Ameera, etc.
hmmm, alot of people are either going 17 or is 17. like whattttt. muda gila babi.

aiyo, banyak jua ku tulis ah O: I havent updated since what, october? yikes. I wanna eat cereal now :D
